Ouch, Dex’s mental health is unfortunately very relatable. I feel the same way, and it’s nice to find a character who also struggles with their sense of purpose and satisfaction. And I’m surprisingly pleased that they never really got an answer about how to fix it. There’s no magic cure. Maybe just existing has to be enough.

Mosscap is so precious. It made Dex tea! I’m happy they are gonna stick together.

I adore Mosscap. Its outlook on life is so nice. The way it got offended because Dex called it “just” an object. XD

I assumed the machines were all from the factories too. It’s nice they chose to have life cycles instead.

The unrealistic part of this book is not that the machines magically gained sentience one day, but that humans didn’t abuse that as much as they could and instead left well enough alone.
