Status Updates From The Charmed List

A ja go nienawidzę". 👿👿👿

Jack and Ellie are IN LOVEEEEEE

Lia is at the convention!!!!

"My family is not worthy enough for you. We don't meet the income minimum. I heard you, loud and clear. I knew better than to trust you again."

Ok but like 10/10 comeback from Ellie bc Jacks dad made a douchey comment

Hope is bright and earnest and beautiful; but it's also dangerous and cruel.

Magizon: Basically Amazon. But only for those with magical abilities

Why am I struggling to imagine Ellie doodling sketches on her phone with a stylus???

AYYYYYYY A San Luis Obispo mention! I love SLO!!!

(Also I feel like I shoulda made a copy of Ellie’s Anti Wallflower List so I could cross off items for her lol)

Why is magic limited to small charms in this universe/book

And the thought of magical humans taking Saturday classes as kids to understand the reasoning of it being secret etc

Lia found out Ellie and Jack are magical and she is LIVID about Ellie lying about it/hiding it from her

Ellie: Deathly afraid of roller coasters

Also Ellie: Rode a rollercoaster with Ezra, a potential summer romance so she can cross off (potentially) two things off her Anti Wallflower Summer Wish List

“The guys do that bro-hug thing, with back slaps.”

What even lolol

“That’s how my childhood felt with Jack: a series of magical sparks”

We have the “my bff hates secrets but I can’t tell her I have magic or else I’ll be kicked out of the magic society and that crushes my soul for keeping this from her” trope

(Which means this will bite her in the ass and she’ll tell her BFF and not get kicked out of the magic society, right?)

WE GET IT! Ellie is plain Jane ordinary, her bff Lia is gorgeous, and we hate Jack even though he’s so freaking handsome

“The plainest of the Plain Janes”

Well between that and the magic, we know for sure that Ellie is Not Like Other Girls

Ellie’s parents have a shop that sells tea. With a hint of a joy charm. Obviously.

“I slide to a stop in front of a seemingly plain oak door and lock up my bike at the rack. The door is covered in cascading ivy, and only the magic-aware can open it. Nothing about magic is plain or simple, but that's why we sorcerers hide it from the non-magic-aware. Or, what Mom diplomatically calls "the general public"-those who don't know about magic.” (The general public hopes the writing picks up?)

“Junior year is fading like the chalk art sketches that Ana’s dean on the path outside her café to invite customers in.”

Whelp that’s surely a description
