I am enjoying the book so far and am about halfway through. Multiple storylines are existing at once which has made the read more interesting compared to the first few chapters of the book.

I like it so far, not my favorite by this author though. I do kind of feel bad for Camilla, she's chastising herself SO much for a mistake she made, it's almost too overwhelming to read about

I want a Grace Livingston Hill hero for my future husband! I thought I wanted a Darcy Or Wentworth, but while I love the Jane Austen heroes, I want a Grace Livingston Hill Husband!!!!
Every man I've read so far in her books have been a glimpse of the man I'm praying to someday marry and the heroine is always showing me how I can improve! Never settle for anything less than a Grace Livingston Hill Hero!!!!

Woohoo, the anticipated shenanigans from my last update didn't happen! But wow can GLH not write a villainous female character without making her sound like an actual devil.

I think I'd like this better without the looming threat of mischief from a pair of awful characters.

In need of something very quiet and calm to read.

Also: this is a nearly 300 page book, and the cover price of my copy is $3.95. Today it would probably be triple that. What a world we live in!
