Um. Well, f**k. So far I really am not feeling this. Hopefully it gets going somewhere midway through. I was promised a literary masterpiece of metaphysical fantasticality and intertwining timelines and so far it's not delivering an iota of fantasy.

I hope this turns into more than just a stroll through distinct literary genres with (*gasp shock horror*) loose connections...

Half of the book and I am feeling quite meh! I can see some of the dots connecting, but it is so subtle that makes no real meaningful impact. Some of the stories do get on my nerves. I had to skip the final pages of the first part of Cavendish because I was thinking: what am I reading? Boring! Thus far the only parts I have enjoyed are Luisas and Sonmi.
