Im absolutely hooked. Joy,neuro-divergent? is in love with Malcolm, she even confesses her love for him. Malcolm, asshole! Claims to love her in return, but insists that they are best friends and continues to date others but keeps Joy close. I don't understand the relationship between these two.

Joy is not so secretly in love with her bf Malcolm. Malcolm is oblivious to her feelings and in fact has just started a new relationship with Summer. Malcolm and Summer have decided to go on a weekend away. But its her bf Fox's birthday. She doesn't want to leave him out, but also doesn't want him to play third wheel, so to balance things Joy is invited. And antics ensue.

I saw this book on one of the black book influencer channel, not sure who. And since I've been in a reading slump I decided to give it a try. Didn't think I would be able to connect with MC. She's ACE and I know nothing about that.

But I love it so far. I really connect with being in a relationship with someone who uses your love for them to manipulate you into being an almost emotional support person for them.
