The overal thesis of this book is that the US uniquely evolves through economic and institutional cycles over time.
The first 3rd of the book explains why the US uniquely evolves this way.
He argues that it's because the US was built from the ground up and didnt evolve over time like other countries. Its more of a statement rather than an argument. I'm unconvinced of this so far.
