Had a coworker say he loves this book and read it 3 times, but didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned all the gay stuff. I'm re-reading this to compile quotes and symbolism to show to him.

okay there is clearly some message about worse of two evils. being disconnected from reality and being destructive to feel something. some nihilistic stuff
