Status Updates From Magic for Beginners

Thoughts on stories so far:

The Faery Handbag - liked this one!
The Hortlak - there were interesting/promising bits in here but it didn't quite come together for me
The Cannon - meh

I keep thinking that this would have blown me away if I had read it when it came out, during the height of my teenage hipster McSweeney's era.
