Status Updates From Gilead (Gilead, #1)

“I feel sometimes as if I were a child who opens its eyes on the world once and sees amazing things it will never know any names for and then has to close its eyes again.”

I tried. Honestly. I read 85% of this book with hope that it would eventually resemble a story. But it just kept rambling on and on. I am just not intellectual enough to understand what makes this a Pulitzer Prize winning novel. I gave up, read the last couple of pages, and returned it to the library. Moving on!!
