Status Updates From Shoko's Smile: Stories

Finished “Sister, My lLittle Soonae”. Maybe more correct to say witnessed the memories. Difficult and well written.

listened to story 2, “Xin Chao, Xin Chao”. Not anywhere as difficult as the title story. Though serious and brings up a part unrepairable history, it had a small bit of relief, not unrealistic, at the end.

finished the first story. It was rough. Well written and narrated but it left me hollowed out with sadness.

“The most important people turned up surprisingly early in life. After a certain point, she found it difficult to turn even the first page of relationships that her younger self would’ve entered with relative ease. People locked their hearts at some point in their lives, as if everyone had agreed to do so. Then they made acquaintances outside those locks, with people who would never hurt them or be hurt by them…”
