This chapter was about walking the talk. While reading this, in my head I was thinking “are you crazy?” Because of how verbal he was being with the word in a very judgmental place. But then I started thinking about why would I not do that in my life? What is stopping me or holding me back?

This chapter was about giving up sin and you to God. Even after a short time in rehab, he was able to completely turn his life around. And when returning home he was able to get rid of his Past sinful material. However, I think it’s still important to realize this doesn’t work for everyone. Humans get tempted. I grew up in Christ, so I wonder if I am more skeptical because I haven’t felt his power in that way.

In this chapter, Todd talked about his time through rehab, and getting to know Jesus. When I am reading his testimony, I think it’s powerful, but uncommon. I believe that his testimony worked for him, but I also would want to make sure that people realize a lot of testimonies, if not most, are not as extreme as his. In the long run, he was able to get back to his wife and daughter, and his wife excepted Christ.

Chapter 3 - Jesus Incorporated: in this chapter, Todd further explains his lifestyle, while trying to live with knowing Jesus. He attends a small group every week, but still is not living like Christ. However, his heart has been changing and he’s feeling hypocritical. He was saved from a near death experience and has now decided to remove himself from his wife and daughter for their safety.

Chapter 2 - Hopeless View of Life: This chapter covered how Todd viewed his life and hypocrisy of others, particularly Christians. He did not feel like his life had any purpose, and he figured he was so far gone. After dealing with him for 7 1/2 years, his wife left. This was his tipping point. He decided he was going to kill himself at a local church, but ended up hearing about Christ instead.

Chapter 1: Life before Christ - If you only had one word to describe Todd White before Christ, that single word would be “Sin”. This chapter outlined all of the sin Todd had before knowing Christ. Just to name a few items on the top of the list: drugs, alcohol, pornography, self harm, suicidal thoughts, and criminal activity. The life that he lived gave him no purpose, and he had a hole that he couldn’t fill.
