Unfortunately I think a lot of books where the thesis is “some marriages are bad and motherhood involves stress and sacrifice” are not revelatory or exciting they just make me tired

Honestly it may be a true horror, but the prose is there (tho confusing here and there), the magical realism is fun and a nice break from everything else I’ve read, and soon will.
