Status Updates From Vulcan's Hammer

I like it. It’s difficult not to go into the PKD novels I have left biased slightly against them, because what I have left is mostly billed as “minor” - some of them quite badly reviewed. But then, this kind of works out, because expectations are low, and then the book is better than expected. Anything from 1960 predicting us handing our destiny over to computers is bound to be a little interesting, and this is PKD!

This will be my third experience with PKD, recently and over a short period of time. Dr. Futurity and The Unteleported Man, plus this one, were a recent acquisition from a Used bookstore downtown…and you don’t see nice old copies of these books around all that often. Dr. Futurity was more interesting than Unteleported Man, and maybe Vulcan’s Hammer can top both. All three have great titles, and cool cover art.
