It is so full of the history and music of Lena and Hawaii, I'm kind of stuck on trying to play some of her songs, familiar to me, that she created, words and music! This is going to take some time....

It's wonderful to learn so much about her life, time, and impact she had on Hawaiian music. She wrote so many of the the earlier Hawaiian songs, both words and music. She actually WAS discovered while singing in a mango tree, made her first ukulele from an old shingle and rubber bands, and spoke fluent Hawaiian, Chinese, and English.
