Status Updates From Drained

I'm not really enjoying this so far and I've decided to skim in the rest of the way just to get through it. It's very bland, and the characters are very flat. The story, while superficially compelling, is simplified to the point of dumbing-down.

I really want to like this (it was a gift), but so far I'm entirely disappointed. I was even wondering if it was too late to send it in for an exchange...

I’m very excited I won a copy via Goodreads. It came in the coolest packaging, included stickers, a bookmark, and a postcard with a personalized message AND the book itself, signed with a note for me, is really nice - has that rubbery textured cover and nice paper. Smells like a new book - yum! Digging in now….
