Status Updates From Friends Like These

This book was a little slow to get me hooked since it switched POVs between so many people. I do applaud the author for creating a twist ending even I didn’t see coming. The secrets woven throughout the story made unraveling them even more fun

So far this has been a tremendous struggle. I don’t care where this is going and there are too many awful characters and nothing at stake. I may actually discontinue. She’s one of my favorites so I am really disappointed.

“To take a job that requires me to work every day a floor above Jane’s case files, which still contain the rusted tent stake that was used to stab her to death.”

Sentences like this one is why I adore Kimberly mccreight’s writing. I can’t explain it.
