Sometimes when the narrator refers to Barnabas' servant, Hare, it sounds like she refers to "servant hair." What would B look like with servant hair instead of his weird Barnabas bangs? What exactly *is* servant hair?

"We will surely be contaminated with Earth germs" and so the Velvetians from planet Velva will have to blow up their ship after they complete their mission. I presume they read H.G. Wells.

Did Joan Bennett appreciate her character being described as having a "matronly face"?

Is singer-heartthrob Jim James really Quentin Collins? Is the Collins family aware of his stardom in England? How long will it take for this book's lady protagonist to fall for Barnabas Collins despite her desire to marry another man at the beginning of the book?

Scientist regarding a sentient species discovered on the planet humans are planning to visit: "There is a possibility we might even be invisible to each other. ... It's very likely."

This is obviously going to be the best Dark Shadows paperback novel. We haven't even gotten to Roger Collins being body-snatched yet.
