I think the question of human limits is interesting bc like ??? There’s a presupposition that reaching the limits of the human is good - but what’s wrong with living inside the limits that nature gave us? Would u not be closer to nature and ur body by living inside its comfort zone?

I think this book supposes a reader for whom mountains are already a large part of their consciousness but I don’t think I am such a reader - and I wonder if it’s bc the only notoriously climbable thing in Australia has banned climbing
