Status Updates From Verismo (Magnum Opus, #1)

Cedric's parent (I barely want to call him that cuz he is a horrible one) Izaak is pissing me off so hard! It's making me feel stab-y.

Most of the relationship is told, not shown, which I find very irritating. What's the point of so much background story, if we all we get about them together is told by other people. I want to see them interact more.

I feel bad for Cedric. Isaak is an asshole of rare proportions.

Are you kidding me? Cedric is blind but he can asses height, weight and age by the sound of someone's voice...

Riiiiiiight...

"She was pulled from her study to the boy’s rooms, and she saw him seated at a grand piano she didn’t realize they had."

Really.... you have a GRAND piano in your kid's room and you don't know you have a GRAND piano? Not even the most depraved mother can't miss a GRAND piano inside her own house.
