Hmmm, strange writing style and very little worldbuilding so far.

on the one hand i want to continue because i like maia and am interested to see what happens to him but on the other the unique language and naming conventions make characters and places hard to remember

this is very much an exercise in glossing over names to keep the momentum going and hope they don't become significant later
