I picking this back up.. would we call it dark though? They have really nice, conversations, it might take a turn though.

he is a cruel MMC and I was very bothered by some scenes when I first read the book in 2019!

uhhh good thing this is fiction, the villain Hartmoor is mostly rude and mean. sex choking not cool. Violent man deserves to have one of his fictional balls tied off with a ziptie, yep this one goes beyond a few spankings ⛓️🤡 I swear the overly long hair gives me nightmare flashbacks of Danzig
