The main focus of the section I read was related to "Reader-Centred" approaches to interpretation. There can be a danger of forcing into Scripture our own ideas and systems of thinking (Marxism, feminism etc.). We must allow Scripture to rule and speak for itself, rather than use "Read-Centred" methods of interpretation - making Scripture say what we want it to say!

I'm reading a section relative to the Reader-Centred Approach to interpreting the Bible. Such an approach is demonstrated in an attempt to make the Bible fit our understanding, ideas or beliefs about something.
For me, this is important relative to the homosexuality debate.
