Chapter 10 explores “obligation sex”. It’s been the toughest part of this book so far. Lots of women sharing about their husbands using the bible to justify abuse. Sheila asks Christian authors and leaders to do better with how they teach 1 cor 7:5 and urges them to teach more on consent.

This has been an interesting listen so far! I’m hoping books like this are making a difference in church and how it talks about sex.

This book should be at the front of every woman’s sex ed tool kit to correct the mental gymnastics and miseducation society and the church place on women re: their responsibility to male sexual expectations. As a female- loving this. As a mother of young women- loving this more. As a a Christian, Amen! It’s overdue we have this talk. Kudos to combating the misogynistic texts of other marriage “help” books!
