Ngl, I'm skimming so I can get to the parts about the overarching plot, because I need to know what happens with that. But this MMC is NOT it, he's such a douche, and a coward too.
Maybe I also dislike this one because the previous book was so emotionally deep and had some darker elements, this one really feels like it doesn't quite fit in.
