did she just leave grandmere in her room because she asked for some time to herself
the whole house and instead of leaving, she eleanor to excuse herself out of her own room

im getting frustrated now, its just going on and on and on and regardless of how easy it is to read, im getting bored with this story

i think she had her memories taken or altered
i dont think eleanor is all there because there are very simple things she can make connections between but she just doesnt

eleanor is so annoying my god
why is the main character so dense??
why must nothing make sense to her, why must she make stupid decisions???

arthur is cursed to do the familys bidding✔️
persephone is being more forthcoming after death than alive
and grandmere is giving me serious creeps

well well well i guess the girl isnt slow, the author just likes to postpone reactions

so grandmere just tried to magically command luma and luma didnt listen, persephone’s ghost just did a haunting on grandmere and stopped her from entering her library and then grandmere told eleanor that one day she would go back to france, and that eleanor would go with her..??!

how does this girl not pick up on any of this happening right in front of her im so confused

ohmygod grandmere seems to know quite a lot about the zarrins
im so intrigued about arthur and his curse
if grandmere is a witch, can she help free him?

this girl is so stupid
how does she not see the poser she holds
passed down to her through her maternal grandmother? is she a witch too??
and is persephone haunting eleanor?
or is it the other grandmother????
is grandmere a witch who used her powers to see eleanor’s state of being before the letters?

ohmygod i was right, she does have powers! ✔️her dreams are memories of others, mostly of her grandmother i think

how does eleanor not see her powers?!??? a little force behind the words, intention, command- and people do exactly as she says..

it is kinda nice to see rhys be protective of her tho
unless im reading this wrong

her grandmother sure was a hater
kept her from the family and kept the family from her
i bet its because shes afraid of eleanor’s powers
eleanor has more power than her

this book is different than what i imagined from the summary and im not quite sure what compelled me to tbr it.
i think her dreams are people’s memories.. maybe thats why margaret called out to her as mother, because her strangulation dream was persephone’s memory, of her mother trying to kill her because of her witch powers

is arthur under a curse? as a repayment of something the zarrins helped him with, he had to promise staying near the family?
why do i feel like her father isnt worried about luma but jealous of her?
why are her sister, father, and cousin all so intent on gaining arthur’s attention?

i think eleanor is a frog
i think grandma is telepathic

its been a really long time since ive read 70 pages in one sitting without checking my phone once or even moving.
is it the young adult or just the plot thats so interesting
