Status Updates From The Pilgrim's Regress

Hit the halfway point and I am losing steam fast. Clive is never more exhausting than when he is writing about his own life.

As much as it pains me to say, I'm taking a break for the foreseeable future- not because I'm not interested in finishing (hopefully I will someday), but because my Spotify audiobook hours are limited and there are books I want to listen to more.

Look I know it’s gonna be bad (and I am growing increasingly uncomfortable by all the lines about brown and black girls) but I just revisited his last novel and I feel like I want to see how far he grew in his life by coming back here to some of his early work.
