Enjoying this read very much. There’s a lot of mystery and suspense and it keeps being built effectively whilst also being used to foreground the complex relationship between Magda and Emerence. The two are shown to have a mutually dependent relationship on each other, first in a professional sense, and secondly emotionally built off of trust and understanding.
