I did not realize the genius of this book when I was halfway through. Truly a comedy of the ages with the self seriousness of a masterpiece like South Park. Juxtaposing a writer mourning the sale of her childhood lakehouse inheritance to her aunt after her parents divorce, which she writes about with the seriousness as a fellow woman who can’t afford her husbands cancer tr eatments … brilliant comedy

Oh my god this book. Some of the chapters are so good, some of the chapters with wealthier women … oh my god it sounds like an ai of everything South Park would make fun of. But those chapters honestly are a feat of stregnth seeing how long someone can stretch out nothing into a chapter the same length as someone with a real impactful story
