Status Updates From Unhinged (Necessary Evils, #1)

I lowkey wish the plot of this book wasn’t all about CP because it’s gonna really struggle to reach 4 stars for me. Rn it’s sitting at 3 for entertainment value and writing skill. But every time we go back to the plot I’m like “right… eugh” which isn’t fun xD

This is fun so far, although I’m confused where the conflict is going to come in because the characters are already very “in love” and sweet to each other. It is fun to read modern human relationships done right though. With a lot of authors, once they start talking like their characters live in the 2020s, the writing suffers for it. But not here!

It took me a minute to get past third-party writing. But the books actually pretty good. I just can’t stand the third-party writing.

I’m not 100% sold yet but not deterred either. I have a soft spot for when characters have drug experiences on the page.
