Status Updates From Equations

I really want to dnf this book. There's no nuance, no depth. Boring cliched characters, bland writing style.

It’s just going senselessly nowhere. The author and just kept making the characters flawed and kept writing without understanding where is it going. Probably I will rate this among the worst book I have read in life.

In this last 46 pages I just read. I see some sense in the writing. She is trying to depict the way people behaved during a given time periods and how society / a part of the society used to be during that time, with examples from the Sikand family… actually in turn making each characters extremely flawed.
So this has become interesting, how will these flawed characters unfold ahead.

As and as I am progressing, I am losing interest. I see the events are going into flashback one after other. And unwanted details are present in lot detail. Also, there are certain Hindi phrases used, without any English translation (does the author knows he book won’t be read by ppl not knowing Hindi). Hopefully all the details are put to use further ahead.

Started reading this book by an Indian author. A reason to pick this book was to propagate books by Indian Authors. Second reason was, that this book is supposed to showcase the ever changing realm of society I am growing up in. Hopefully this books does the justice.
