Status Updates From In the Dark: Vol I

"My grandfather did nothing illegal," did you say he made replicas of art pieces a few chapters ago?

Istg both are so pretentious, they seems so annoying to be around

Lately I read and forget to update the progres...

So psycho drug dealer is now licking the blood out of a blade... lame and uncreative way to be "edgy" and "so scary"... if you want your drug dealers to be scary, make them be more realistic, reality is more scary than fiction, like just make them kill someone Colombian necktie way idk

So far idk what is more wanna be edgy, the story or the characters

im a big fan of this goddess luo painting case... yes give me more lore about art and it's history while also discussing the deaths of numerous people involved

bruuuuuuu mu kun & shen liufei's SAME OPINION on xie lanshan's hair length is the only thing I needed to read. genuinely WHAT I did not see that coming

one chapter in and the mc is a gay police investigator? I'm locked in

“Is everything all right over there?”
“It’s fine.” After a few seconds of silence, Shen Liufei said, “I found him.”

Xie Lanshan’s eyes were frozen in time. Every inch of this body down to its bones and soul no longer belonged to Xie Lanshan.
As an experienced cop, Tao Longyue had seen many sociopathic criminals, but he’d never seen such eyes before; the chilling, horrific calmness pierced through his flesh and latched on to his bones.

For a split second, the dying Xiao Zhou felt Officer Xie’s gaze become eerily cold, as though it were full of unexplainable arrogance and disdain. Xie Lanshan’s expression froze; he lowered his head. His ghastly gaze fell onto his shoes, then to the man clinging to him. He lifted the corner of his lips as if he was looking at the most inferior and dirty insect he’d ever seen.

“Besides, Office Xie had already received cranial surgery once. It’s not good to open up the skull that often.”

Uuuhhhh this would explain that weird dream about the woman in white and memory loss….

What the kdrama plot twist is this?!

If it’s not a break malfunction crash, it’s a dumptruck crash. If it’s not a work truck crash, it’s avoid the kindergartners crash….

The handsome man’s grin was dangerously alluring but cold, like fresh crimson blood on a lifeless corpse.
(XL to LR) “I fight poison with poison, send evil off with evil; this is my personal philosophy.”
From this one glance, LR understood they were the same type of people. Only a corrupt soul could emit this kind of emotion behind their eyes when they smiled-that cold, bloodthirsty, overwhelming darkness.

“Oh, don’t mind me, Mr. Shen. Even though I’m as desirable as money, I swear I’m a loyal and honest man. I will never cheat on you.”
Shen Liufei gave a small smile in response. “We’re wasting good material not using that thick skin of yours for bulletproof vests.”

I have this weird feeling that Shen Liufei is the drug lord.... I don't know why.

Shen Liufei had noticed Xie Lanshan's red lips, but he never expected this man would do something so shameless, unfathomable, or bold.

“Death seems almost promising if you consider it closely; it’s something we all yearn for. It’s a friend we haven’t seen in a long time.”
Something dark and chilling flashed beneath those pupils, momentarily stunning Tap Jun. the Xie Lanshan before him seemed like a completely different person.

However, a line had left a lasting impression on him.
"Even if I am no longer myself, even if I become a bloodthirsty apostle of sin, even if the whole world has fallen into ruins, I will still love you with my whole life until death..."

i’m really liking this 🤭 way more than expected!!
