I hated "Shadows of Ecstasy" - all the usual mystical drivel embedded in a plot which derives whatever power it may possess from racist fears and assumptions.

I'm finding Shadows of Ecstasy almost unreadable...

More issues with this edition: There is absolutely no information about publication dates of any of the novels. Nothing whatsoever. What passes for a copyright page gives only the ISBN and "(c) 2020 Benediction Classics, Oxford". There's also no front matter or back matter, other than a barebones table of contents.

Got through The Greater Trumps. It has its moments, but there's a lot of slogging as well.

This edition has annoying typographical errors, such as extraneous or deleted spaces which result in the quotation marks pointing the wrong way. Some missing periods, Things like I'( instead of I'd
