So I thought I'd try this. I really TRY with these subscription box books. Mafia romance just ISN'T my thing. Have I read at least ONE I enjoyed? YES! So far this just seems like an impossible situation. I don't see how this will work out for Erin and Ricardo

Lots of time skips. It's an easy read but I'm not enjoying it. It's very shallow. The characters are shallow. There is no depth. I'm finishing it because I have to.

The reactions are a little... underplayed and unemotional which you don't expect from a literal victim of trafficking...but overall it's an easy read so far.
