Yuppppp the trauma of betraying all that you know dear, and putting the regime above your own family. Omg the trauma

This is starting to get very triggering for me… reminding me of what my parents said they went through…how did everyone seemingly buy into this?

Not sure if people really get the huge differences between China and the West during this time period….so many Chinese people really arose from the ashes….and now look at China and its incredibly advanced architecture, technology, healthcare systems, education, etc….fascinating.

Makes you think how far this generation of Chinese have gone….how much my own parents have seen in their lifetimes…
