Yes, I did choose to start this book immediately after saying I couldn't emotionally handle any book that was too entrenched in American politics...don't worry about it.
And then George almost immediately drops this banger of a line:

This is the oddest book. The concept is really interesting but it’s like the author isn’t explaining everything. It feels like when I read books in another language and I miss some of the meaning and find myself confused. At times, I’m completely lost as to WTF is happening.
