The writing style is starting to get boring, and it feels like there are missing chapters. For example, when Sten goes to Ivar’s hall alone, we aren't shown what actually happens, we're just given a brief recap during conversation explaining why he went. The story keeps skipping these important interactions.

Meanwhile, the author has no problem devoting pages to repetitive monologues and recaps far too often.
