to sum it up i don't necessarily think existential questions are a "product of modern society" insteaddd modern society has simply given us new ways of understanding questions & ideas humans have had for a very long time [2]

icl i disagree with this to a limit, mostly because I think primitive humans probably experienced existential & identity crises too, except perhaps they weren't as aware of them or didn't have the words for them¿¿ alsoooo i believe many of the thoughts humans have; probably existed in another human's mind before. the "general tendency" of leftists that Theodore talks about is so interesting to me, i do see at a certain point what he is talking about, but only to an extent. some of it has me curious & wondering (more than that, WANTING) to know how much of it could be proved right psychologically? if not, why did Theodore believe as such about leftists? hmmmmmmm
