It's hard to say with works like this if it's a lost in translation thing or a time period thing, but only two stories in, and they were both incomprehensible. Though there is something to be said about the creativity. Having never read Kipling before, I am interested in knowing why he's so celebrated, so I will keep reading. After all, the stories are short, and the creativity is enjoyable.
