Not my speed. Reading for a book club. Characters are predictable, this was made for the benefit of the “author’s skill” and not really as an end product or anything. Kinda okay. It’s fine tho.

I genuinely don’t know how this is adding in any way to the plot

Not sure the copious mentions of a woman’s weight are strictly necessary here… feels very overdone.
