I've read this more than once and I am always surprised by how AWFUL Darcy, Georgiana, and the whole dang family is! They should be on hands and knees grateful she saved Georgiana from being ruined! Not treating Elizabeth like garbage. She oughta leave him! And maybe spread some rumors about Georgiana on her way out! Maybe kick a dog and set pemberley on fire.

A regency romance between a man (whose name happens to be Darcy) and a woman (whose name is Elizabeth - but who’s behavior is more like Jane) marry (for reasons that do not feel authentic). Darcy and his sister Geogiana (who behaves like a modern day Lydia) are horribly unkind to Elizabeth. Elizabeth struggles to fit in to her new family and social class while battling loneliness and depression.

Good so far! Love the retelling of P&P.
