The Enchanted Feather
⭐⭐⭐⭐💫/5
This was beautiful. All the feels here. What a lovely story dealing with mythical creatures, a surprising romance, selfless choices and finding hope with disability.

I was very much into this whimsical story about a dryad searching for her lost brother and struggling through her feelings of guilt. Such depth! The ending, however, was suddenly so fast, I blinked and it was over, which was disappointing.

I always enjoy an antagonist with a good backstory. Someone who isn't evil just for evils sake. And the humour at the start of this, with the Fae in the forest, story totally got me into it.

Yumiko and the Battle Frog
⭐⭐⭐/5
Some of this I skimmed a little because there were a few plotholes that confused me and I felt like I was missing information with several newly introduced characters that likely appear in Sommers' other books that I haven't read, which made me less invested.
But her humour often makes me laugh and I loved the battle frog. So weird, but good.
