Status Updates From Lost Goat Lane

Ruby and Katie are now 'almost friends'. My first impression of Ruby was a rude, but young woman. They even start selling chocolates. Before Ruby and Katie became friends, the Martin family (where Katie, Chip and Justin reside) loses their goat and it ends up in the Wilson's yard. Pretty good book so far. I think I misjudged it as a bad book - it's actually great. Won't be long before I finish!

I picked up this book at a second hand shop because I liked the name. It is a good story about a girl and her family who live in Florida and are poor. Their neighbours are an older couple whose daughter just moved back home from NY with her son. I look forward to reading the rest of this book and getting back into the habit of reading more!

Why are Mr. and Mrs. Wilson so mad? Because Kate and Ruby were dropped off by a guy with a motorcycle?

This is cute. Kate point of view is fun to read. I like how Ruby is actually warming up to her.

Alligators actually eat dogs? Poor Chip, Go-Boy was like his best friend...

Katie and Ruby, have split up. Katie's sad that Ruby's going to New York. Justin even risked his life to save their goat. There are so many family problems here! What's worse is that it's nearly Christmas, and there are rumors of a lost farm. I'm making this update just before I finish - I hope the ending is a happy one...

Losing Go-Boy (their dog) is bad enough - but losing their farm; no way. They're all woried and thinking of the worst. As the year goes by, Kate, Justin and Chip must face the school year without any new supplies, clothes, etc because of poverty. So far, I am enjoying this book. This talks about the life that not many are used to, and the reponsiblities of a farm-owning family. Very interesting, so far.
