Status Updates From Lovely, Dark and Deep

yea, this is not getting any better. It was sooo good at the start.

i was immensely enjoying this till it hit the 50% point when it started to just come apart.

The point of view jumping was weird and didn’t sit well and there’s just something missing with the characters and the story.

I completely forgot what this book was about when I started reading. I had it in my mind it was a thriller about missing kids. So i so sooo confused when witches and fae popped into it.

It's an enjoyable read so far!

A dangerous time. Will they manage to find the children and escape alive?

Really hoping this doesn’t cause a problem for them.

Another missing child and things that don’t respond to magic. Certainly problematic.

Dangers in the woods. Something is taking children. The fae are watching. Pretty sure our main character will have to find a way to work with them.

The urge to dnf 🥲

I don’t know why I keep expecting something magical and creative and creepy with titles like this. It’s a run of the mill MC with a mystery in the woods.
