Lowkey speechless? I don’t really know what this whole book meant and yet I couldn’t and didn’t want to put it down. What it was like to be a white woman in Paris at this time I legit cannot imagine. Like I can’t even imagine having money lowkey…

I’m often confused in this book but I think it’s because I can’t seem to truly grasp the time period… and it’s normalcies

Alright the second chapter of this book, in which there are only 2 chapters, so I’m interested to see what this chapter distinction means. They’re 15 right now. I don’t think I was saying any of these things when I was 15, but I also was not living in Paris under strange religious tones and war

Started reading this bc someone didn’t wanna get this at work and I’m loving it so far. Atwood’s intro was cool and I relate with her, so I’m curious how being from de Beauvoir’s perspective will feel since I feel like I can’t relate to her much much less… excited!
