Enjoying this so far. An easy read and quick as it is not overly detailed. Would be a good read for a younger reader or for someone that isn't sure they are interested in a Robinson biography as it is not as detailed as many biographies. I love that it is not political, but informative.

I feel now that you should not judge someone based on anything because you don't know them. I think Harvey Frommer decided to write this to give people information on an amazing person. Especially Jackie Robinson he had so much pressure on him since he was the only black guy playing. I also learned that because someones skin color is different that doesn't mean you can pick on them and disrespect them.

I am at the falling action in my book. I know because we are towards the end of the book where we see what happens next. The story is going on how I imagined it would. I understand now that Jackie Robinson had a hard life as a kid. I think having a hard life drove him to be his best at playing baseball.

Jackie Robinson is having trouble with the white people who still don't like that a black guy is playing. A question I have is does he ever get over people not liking the color of his skin and being racist. The most interesting part of the book is learning about Jackie Robinsin's past when he was a kid and seeing how he grew up an awesome baseball player.

Setting is Pasadena, California early 1910's. Segregation is still going on. Jackie started to play baseball for school and everyone saw ho good he is. He also played in High School. He went to UCLA and played there. Later he dropped out and joined the army. After that Branch Mickey saw he was good ad signed him onto the Brooklyn Dodgers. He broke the MLB color barrier.
