Notes:
(1) This volume suffers from a lack of direction.
- You start off with a really good Clayface 2-parter.
- Then it goes into another Clayface 2-parter, which was decent, but not on the level of the stories before it.
- Then there's a wordless 2-parter about human trafficking, which, while bold, was exactly as expected.
(2) Hopefully this Man-Bat 2-parter ends it well.

Notes:
(1) I think Hurwitz may have jumped the shark with the whole "troubled childhood made me a supervillain" trope. He's used it to great effect in every story he's written thus far, but this Clayface origin was pretty lame.
(2) How did Clayface find and contact Joker for a meet-up at a time when literally nobody knew where he was? Clayface isn't exactly Detective Chimp.

Notes:
(1) The book's first artist is Alex Maleev. I like his covers more than his interiors, which I find muddy. Also, his panel composition is fairly dull. I did read an issue of his this year from fifteen years earlier, and the improvement is night and day. He works digital now, so that might be it. I noticed the same improvement in Trevor McCarthy when he went digital.

Notes:
(1) Hurwitz's run on this series has been surprisingly great, especially the last book, which I flirted with giving 5-stars. For me, if I'm at all on the fence about it, then it's not five-stars.
(2) I'm going into this excited but wary. A big warning sign is it's got four artists (no inkers), and having a revolving door for a single volume screams creative disarray.
