Status Updates From Heaven

The prose is pretty boring, which might be because of the translator. And the story is a generic romance so far. But I don't mind generic romances, they have great chemistry, and the depiction of bullying is actually pretty decent. The imagery is visceral and specific, and the psychology of becoming and desiring to be an object is powerful. Pretty good so far.

It’s hard to get through this book because I need to take breaks. What the two characters go through is upsetting and cruel. I know everything will get worse and I’m dreading it.
