In such a community, when the church is functioning at its best, it would be difficult to ever feel deep loneliness. It is designed that way.

Experiencing the salvation of Jesus means that we too can have a new identity. Our new lives are defined by the fact that we are now connected to Jesus, and that we are known and loved by him.

However, if we make it our aim to know Jesus, and to give up our selfish life to follow him and serve others, then we may just find something deeper than temporal happiness - we may
discover true and lasting joy.

Therefore, the Christian conviction is that humans have value not because of what we do, but because of who we are. We are ultimately human beings, not human doings!
