The Second Gate (Verse #2)

Dalidja
Dalidja is finished
The short story at the end was more interesting than the entire main story. It's awfully long for a graphic novel, very slow, and plain boring. The story is basically just the characters parting and then coming together again. The jump in time felt off, the story continued like almost no time passed when tons did. And this needed more editing. Jarring topic changes. Confusing dialogue. An entire page duplicated.

The art is beautiful. It's great. I enjoy the character designs, clothing styles, etc. I do find it hard to determine the genders of a number of characters, and combined with the fact that no one's sexuality is ever really discussed, I'm left very confused on whether characters are romantically compatible at all, or if it's more of a platonic or familial bond, or what. I wish it was a bit more clear.
