Status Updates From L'Échiquier du mal

Dear God Dan Simmons sucks at scene transitions he doesn't describe stuff well enough and lets the reader fill in the gaps😭. Not that I mind the technique in general but he does it so horrendously.

This book has exhausted me to the point where I have considered unlearning my reading skills if at all possible. For the time being I will put it away and do my best to pretend that it does not exist. Hopefully I can pick it up again sometime next year 'cause I really need to know what happens and I cannot explain satisfactorily what the hell it is that I am experiencing. Bye now.

WOAH WOAH I'M HALFWAY THERE.
